The Winnebago Trend and its twin, the Itasca Viva!, are compact 24-foot Class C motorhomes that are the first to be built on the new Chrysler Ram ProMaster chassis, which is an American version of a chassis long popular in Europe. It comes with a V-6 Pentastar gas engine that promise fuel economy of 14 to 16 mpg on the highway.
The cab has panoramic front windows, six air bags, and cab seats that swivel to face the living area. A forward-facing dinette with two three-point seatbelts provides the ability to secure two child seats. “This is an industry first and very important to young families looking for their first motorhome, “ said Russ Garfin, product manager for Trend and Viva!.
The Trend and the Viva! can sleep up to six, with the help of a studio loft bed that can be lowered and raised electronically and fits tight on the ceiling to create a roomy interior during the day.
The motorhome is available in two floor plans. The 23B offers a sofa bed, a dinette, a fully equipped mid-coach galley and a rear bath. The loft bed is queen size, and there also is a king-size flex bed system. The 23L floor plan has a bed at the rear of the coach and an L-shaped galley with a front-facing sink.
The motorhomes have energy-saving LED lighting and can be equipped with soft Ultraleather furniture.
Suggested retail prices for the Winnebago Trend and Itasca Viva! start at $88,652.
