Zion Lodge is offering to the public for the first time narrated tram rides through Utah’s Zion Canyon on the closed Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.
The road is closed to private vehicles from April through October. Shuttle buses traverse the road and overnight guests may still drive to the lodge, but until now tram tours have only been offered to groups, not the general public. But this summer, a tram that can accommodate 48 passengers is departing the lodge on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons. The road runs alongside the Virgin River, with canyon walls soaring on both sides. For information on the tours, visit zionlodge.com.
