Ah, here we are, back in real time. What Congress decides affects RVers and their dreams along with the rest of the country and as of today nothing has changed. Neither the D nor R kiddies playing in the Washington sandbox have learned to make nice. But I think I have a solution…If a decision isn’t made by the date required, let’s fine each Congressman $10,000 per day to be put into Social Security or against the national debt. It is always said that when you want to make changes, start in the pocketbook.
Or maybe we could take a privilege away each day…that would cut the deficit in a hurry. You know, like they can no longer vote themselves pay raises but receive pay raises commensurate to Social Security increases.
And what about cutting off benefits once they are out of office. Or maybe they could lose their Congressional health care system and have to participate in the one we “commoners” all use. Now there’s a really good one.
Here’s one I like, too, effective immediately, all Congressional retirement fund money goes directly into the Social Security system and they live on it as we do.
The politicians keep talking about “what the American people are thinking.” Although this is a bit political this morning, nobody has ever asked this American what I’m thinking so this is it! God Bless until next week.
