Airstream Classic Travel Trailer
Airstream doesn’t often alter its Classic travel trailer, but for 2015 it has used customer feedback to make major changes, including a redesigned kitchen and bedroom and new appliances and furnishings.
“We don’t update the Airstream Classic very often, but when the world’s most passionate customers come to you with great ideas, you listen,” said Bob Wheeler, Airstream’s president and CEO. Among the customers’ requests were a more “at home” feel in the kitchen. Airstream responded with cherry-wood cabinetry, hardware from Amerock, highly polished Corian countertops, Kohler faucets, a stainless steel oven from Smev, a high-end range hood from Baraldi, and a slideout pantry.
The master bathroom and bath have been redesigned to provide more floor space for a wardrobe change and to incorporate a power-adjustable queen bed. The Classic contains Villa furniture, including a sofa with individually powered reclining seats, LED lighting, a marine-grade Polk stereo system and powered stabilizer jacks.
Wheeler said the upgrades to the 31-foot travel trailer follow the credo of Airstream founder Wally Byam, who always said, “Let’s not make changes; let’s make only improvements.”
The Airstream Classic has an MSRP of $121,720. For information, visit airstream.com.
