Even though Millwood Landing is private, the golf course and RV park are available for public use.
One of Arkansas’ most comfortable and laid back resorts is Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort near Ashdown. Located just 25 minutes from Texarkana, Ark., the resort features 40 RV sites and a challenging 18-hole golf course.
“This is one of southwest Arkansas’ most beautiful 18-hole golf courses, featuring rolling and tree-lined fairways,”says Ben Carr of Ocean Canyon Properties, who manages the resort.
Owned by Ocean Canyon Properties (OCP), the par 72 course measures 6,915 yards from the tips and is open to the public Tuesday through Sunday. The course also features generous, lush Bermuda grass greens, four sets of tee boxes, EZ Go cart rentals, a practice putting green, and driving range.
After a round of golf, stop by the Greenside Grill for a cold one or a bite to eat. In a few months, the pine trees, oak trees, and hickory trees lining the fairways will provide a spectacular setting for fall golfers.
Millwood Landing is More than Just Golf
In addition to the challenging course, Millwood Landing also offers tennis and basketball courts, two fishing ponds, a spacious swimming pool, horseshoes, volleyball, restrooms, showers, walking trails, a pet area, Wi-Fi (for a small fee), and more. Millwood Landing is a perfect home base for many outdoor activities and adventures. The RV sites offer pull-throughs, which can accommodate big rigs.
“Ocean Canyon Properties is a growing system of privately owned, membership resorts that offer spacious RV sites, comfortable cabins, cottages and condos, along with a wide variety of private resort amenities,” says Carr. “With beautiful resort locations situated throughout the southern United States, the resorts provide a safe, secure and enjoyable recreational experience that so many families seek.”
Carr emphasized that even though Millwood Landing is private, the golf course and RV park are available for public use as well.
If venturing outside of Millwood Resort, a few things in Texarkana worth exploring include the Four States Auto Museum, Holiday Springs Water Park, Lindsey Railroad Museum, and the Gateway Farmers Market, to name a few.
