Today, the resort is the largest in the world and the 27-hole course will challenge your game and then some.
Like several quality Native American-mega resorts around the country, WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma includes a fabulous golf course and RV park. Owned by the Chickasaw Nation, WinStar Resort opened in 2004 with the golf course opening two years later in 2006. Today, the resort is the largest in the world and the 27-hole course will challenge your game and then some.

The RV park includes 20-, 30-, and 50-amp service, water and sewer, plus dumping stations.
Located about 120 miles south of Oklahoma City and 60 miles north of Dallas, WinStar straddles the Oklahoma-Texas border and features a luxurious 153-space RV park complete with amenities to include 20-, 30-, and 50-amp service; water and sewer; and dumping stations. A free 24-hour shuttle runs between the RV park and casino. Other amenities at the pet-friendly park include a swimming pool, shower and laundry facilities, indoor and outdoor pavilions, walking trails, a business center, Wi-Fi, and more.
The 27-hole resort style golf course was designed by PGA Tour professional D.A. Weibring and golf course architect Steve Wolfard. The facility has three 9-hole golf courses that can be combined to make three different 18-hole combinations: East/West, South/West, and South/East. With five sets of tee boxes at each hole, the par 72 course can be played from 4,993 yards to 7,340 yards
The wide fairways are forgiving and the greens are smooth and flat. RVers can take advantage of the free shuttle between the resort and golf course. According to the WinStar Golf Club’s general manager Michael Ferguson, an additional nine holes is currently in the planning stages but won’t be ready fr play until 2017.

The facility offers world-class instruction and master club fitting for all brands in golf.
Hone your skills at the Golf Academy
One of the unique offerings at WinStar World Casino and Resort is its 4,850 square-foot Golf Academy.
“This cutting-edge facility offers world-class instruction and master club fitting for all brands in golf and a few exclusive brands to meet all your equipment needs,” says Jennifer Klutinis-Pierce, Media relations specialist for the resort. “You can also choose your experience, from TRACKMAN Swing and Club Analysis, to Science and Motion Putting Analysis, or the GEARS hitting bay for a total golf experience like no other.”
GEARS is a full swing club and body tracking system used by PGA pros, club fitters, and club manufacturers to measure and analyze every nuance of a swing, in full 3D, from address to follow-through.
“GEARS is also known as the ‘MRI for your golf swing’,” adds Ferguson. “It provides a life-size avatar that allows guests to see themselves in real time on the screen for images of their swing.”
In addition, WinStar also offers eight covered hitting bays featuring mirrors and benches for spectators and guests. Also available are two indoor bays featuring an About Golf simulator. You can play simulated golf all over the world, including St. Andrews, TPC Sawgrass, and other legendary courses.
More Than a Resort: Enjoy Demo Days

The 27-hole resort-style golf course was designed by PGA Tour professional D.A. Weibring and golf course architect Steve Wolfard.
WinStar Golf Club officials also offer several Demo Days throughout the year. WinStar golf professional and instructor Jon Stephenson, who is also the course’s director of fitting, will demonstrate products from golf brand names including Ping, Titleist, Callaway, and PXG.
“These events are for golfers considering a new set of clubs,” Stephenson said. “Demo Day allows them to book a fitting and get a hands-on experience of the latest and greatest golf equipment.”
An ideal event for any level of player, the Demo Days are just one way to enhance your game, enjoyment and adjust your skill set on the course. WinStar’s upcoming Demo Days are July 30, PXG; August 13, Nike; August 20, TaylorMade; and September 3, Hogan. Visitors who purchase Demo Day merchandise will receive a free gift and fitting, which is worth up to $250.

I stayed here earlier this year, it’s a wonderful place. And GEARS is an amazing system, it really does take analysis of your game to the next level.
