With many product announcements from Thor Motor Coach (TMC) throughout 2016, the company expands its offerings for 2017 with five new floor plans, which are ready to hit showroom floors. For those looking to upgrade or those new to RVing should expect fresh, new designs in its class A and class C model lines.

The Quantum Class C is just one of Thor Motor Coaches new models.
“We introduced a handful of products with new floor plans that are new since the 2016 Elkhart RV Open House,” Jon Crider, director of marketing of TMC, told RVlife.com. “We have the new Quantum KM24, as well as the Aria 3401, Windsport 31B, 35.3 Miramar, and 31Y Chateau.”

The Aria 3401.
While TMC recently upgraded select class A motorhomes for 2017 earlier this year, one of the more recent changes in its Class A series is the 35.3 Miramar. It’s position in the class A line is in the middle-high-end range and includes many essential features of the Challenger.
Also, several amenities include a Bluetooth Coach Radio System in the bedroom with exterior speakers plus a Rapid Camp Wireless Control System. Another offering is the basement pass-through storage.
“So, the Axus and Vegas Class A models are the first steps in our gas class A series,” says Crider. “RVers can then step up into the Ace, the Hurricane and Windsport lines. The Miramar is between the Hurricane and the Windsport.”
Some other features include a bath-and-a-half, a Dream Dinette, expanding sofa, residential-style refrigerator and washer/dryer prep.
Other Features in the New Floorplans Include:

The Chateau 31Y class C.

Another class C this year, which rides on a Ford E-Series chassis, is the Chateau 31Y that increases interior comfort with new, dual front swivel seating and a full wall slide-out. There’s also ample storage and users will appreciate the cab-over bunk and exterior graphics/color options.
Quantum KM24 Class C
As there were three Class C Series to check out from Thor in earlier 2016, one those was models was the Quantum. For 2017, the new Quantum KM24 has a new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. Additionally, it has a length of 24 feet and the slideout design expands the Dream Dinette (and secondary sleeping area). A cab-over bunk and an exterior kitchen other highlights.

At 34 feet, eight inches, this diesel pusher includes a king-size bed with the Tilt-A-View inclining system, 100-watt solar charging system, and unique custom dash layout. “One element of RVing that hinders a lot of people is battery maintenance and the constant charging,” says Crider. “So, we are seeing more requests for solar power systems. This simply helps users stay on top of the charge in their motorhome.”
Windsport 31Z Class A
Adventurous RVers with a passion for outdoor activities will take to this Windsport floor plan. It has a basement storage area for mountain bikes, compact inflatable boats, even kayaks or other cumbersome gear. There`s also a walk-around queen-size bed, power drop-down overhead bunk, an optional dual A/C system, and 50-amp service. A 5500-watt gas generator is also available.
