The Pros and Cons of Escapees RV Club
If you are in love with the RV lifestyle and are drawn to others who feel the same, the Escapees RV Club may be the perfect group for you. They offer an all-encompassing network of support for RVers around the country, helping them connect to others with like-minded interests while providing much-needed services that are unique to campers.
Let’s review this club in detail!
What is the Escapees RV Club?
Escapees is one of the largest and oldest RV membership programs in the world! Created in 1978, founders Joe and Kay Peterson decided they wanted to provide support for themselves and others who traveled by motorhome or travel trailer. Everything the group does is to assist other RVers in having a more affordable, safe, and worry-free life as they traverse the continent, as is evident with the variety of benefits the club offers.
The group is welcoming to all styles of RVers, from newbies who are just taking their rig out for its first journey to seasoned travelers. Escapees may be weekend warriors, part-time travelers, or full-time RVers. The RVing style makes no difference, as all have some of the same needs for support and services that the organization provides.
There are no designations for the types of RVs that come under the Escapees umbrella either. Members have everything from popup tent campers to luxurious Class A motor coaches. And age is not a deterrent, with members ranging in age from 19 to 95! Each member has the same opportunity to enjoy the advantages that come with membership.

What Does the Escapees RV Club Offer?
Escapees RV Club offers a wide range of services and in person events. Through this membership program, you will be able to receive discounts on RV accessories and possibly find friends for life. Below are just a few of the benefits you will get.
Community
When you join Escapees, you have the option of participating with regional chapters, as well as specific interest groups, known as Birds of a Feather, within the community. Some examples of BOF are photography groups, pet lovers, woodcarvers, Christian fellowship, genealogy and bikes, boats, and more. No matter your interests, you’re sure to find like-minded individuals!
Escapees RV Club Magazine
Every two months you’ll receive a magazine in the mail and a digital copy online. It covers everything from RV maintenance and owner tips to off-the-beaten-path destinations and product reviews.

RV Parking
Being a member of Escapees offers big benefits with 18 different SKP co-op RV parks that offer unique camping options to fit your budget and lifestyle. In addition, you will also be the recipient of 15% to 50% discounts from over 800 campgrounds around the country.
Escapees RV Club Mail Forwarding Service
Utilize three different tiers of mail forward service through Escapees, including package forwarding, mail scanning, and online retrieval.
RVer Job Exchange
If looking for a job while you travel or trying to fill a job, the RVer Job Exchange provides a place to find work and workers within the RVing population.
Partner Discounts
Get discounts on roadside assistance, tires, campground membership programs, batteries, Costco memberships, satellite television service, e-bikes, and wifi boosters. These are only a few discounts available too! The amount you can save through this program will be well worth the membership fee alone.
Rallies and Convergences
Join in the fun with hundreds of other RVers at the annual Escapade Rally or several smaller convergences held around the country. There are classes, seminars, social gatherings, and nightly entertainment. In other words, you’ll find plenty to do!

Webinars
Attend live webinars or access them via recorded online archives. Talented instructors and RV industry experts instruct members on a variety of topics.
Escapees RV Club Forums
Interact with other members on a wide range of questions and solutions.
Help with Domicile Change
Find help with deciding where to declare domicile as a full-time RVer.
Escapees C.A.R.E Program
Escapees has established a C.A.R.E. program to provide Continuing Assistance for Retired Escapees, as a way to offer daily meals, transportation, nursing care, etc. for those Escapees who can no longer travel due to age or health problems.
Why Is Escapees RV Club a Great Membership?
With assistance to RVers as its #1 goal, Escapees provides so many useful services and benefits for its members. Add to that the variety of interest groups, the RV parks it has established for its associates, and the camaraderie between participants in the group, and I think you will find that Escapees is, by far, the most cohesive and inclusive RV membership around.
How Much Does an Escapees RV Club Membership Cost?
For those in the United States, membership costs $49.95 annually. For those in Canada and Mexico, the cost is $59.95 annually. Membership gives you access to all of the discount programs, educational information, and support services offered through both the Escapees and Xscapers (working aged Escapees) communities.

I work in Florida and live out of my RV which is parked whet I work and use that location as my address for Drivers License, Social Security and Medicare. I recently learned the property is being sold. I will work for the parent company (at a different location) but cannot park there nor use that address.
